Student Experience office

The Student Experience (SE) office, part of Rensselaer’s Division of Student Life, aims to ensure that all undergraduate students are successful both in and out of the classroom. Facilitating the transition from high school through graduation, the SE team provides guidance, support, challenge, and intervention to students. As a keystone in Rensselaer’s CLASS (Clustered Learning, Advocacy, and Support for Students) Initiative, the SE office’s collaborations span across Institute divisions and the five schools.

Major areas of the Student Experience office include the Class Deans, First-Year Experience (including Orientation programs), and parent and family programs.

Additionally, the Student Experience office manages RPI policies and procedures in regards to excused absences, leaves of absence, withdrawals, and readmission.
