Transportation during breaks
The Parking and Transportation Office typically coordinates free transportation to the bus station, train station, and Albany airport around the Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring break. For details please visit their Web site or call them at (518) 276-6616.
CDTA Buses
Students and faculty can now use all CDTA bus routes with the exception of STAR and NX services. Just swipe your ID through the farebox and you are on your way.

Albany International Airport
Albany International Airport is located approximately 20 minutes from Rensselaer and offers service from a number of different airlines. Taxi service from the airport to Rensselaer is about $20-25.
Albany Bus Terminal
Greyhound Bus and Adirondack Trailways serve most of the state with express and local buses. The Albany Bus Terminal is located at 34 Hamilton St. Taxi service from the bus station to Rensselaer is about $20. MegaBus offers service to/from the train station (see below).

Albany-Rensselaer Train Station
Amtrak serves most cities of the state. The train stop serving Albany/Troy is the Albany-Rensselaer station, located directly across the Hudson River from Albany. Taxi service from the train station to Rensselaer is about $20.

The taxi system in the Capital District area may differ in its rate schedule from the system in your area. Meters are not used, and the charge is determined per person per zone crossed en route to your destination.
